who is atelier portakal?

Atelier Portakal is a multidisciplinary studio based in Munich and Istanbul consisting of only one designer (Prof. Volkan Kaçmaz). Portakal (meaning orange) is, together with the pomegranate, the most important fruit of my birthplace Mersin (TR). As the Mersiners' favorite fruit, the orange not only adorns the coat of arms of Mersin, but is also the subject of several festivals throughout the year. Besides: I love oranges. In my studio I am engaged in exhibition design, signage and wayfinding, informationgraphics, semiotics, illustration, and photography. Please contact me for my portfolio and check out my Twitter or Instagram for my photos. Thanks for reading. Let’s get in touch and/or enjoy a nice cup of çay
